kenapa?

Mr A: When I was in the army back 40 years ago, there was one day we went to the woods to get ready for                    any attack that time. Then suddenly my friend who was just standing behind me get shot. And he collapsed in my arms.
when we got back to the camp site he can't make it and he died after a few hours.
I was very shock and I asked my friends at the camp. Why he? Why not me?
Then one of my closest friend said to me "Why ask?"
